What interior design and interior architecture services does DXP Living provide, and where do you work? DXP Living provides interior design and interior architecture services for residential and commercial projects. Our services include space planning, furniture layouts, mood boards, technical drawings, interior specifications, 3D visualisation, bespoke furniture, fitted furniture, handmade rugs and soft furnishings. We work on projects across Northern Ireland, Ireland, the UK and Spain.
Does DXP Living manage interior design projects from planning through to installation? Yes. We can manage individual rooms or complete homes, including new builds, renovations and extensions. We collaborate with architects, contractors, consultants and suppliers, and can manage specifications, sourcing, purchasing and procurement. We coordinate the interior design requirements with the wider architectural and construction plans throughout the project.
I already have an architect. Do I also need an interior designer for my new build? We recommend involving an interior designer during the planning stage so that space planning, furniture layouts, electrical plans, lighting, materials and interior specifications can be considered alongside the architectural drawings. Early coordination can help avoid unnecessary revisions once construction has started. For example, the position of a door may affect a planned feature wall, or a ceiling full of spotlights may conflict with a panelled ceiling and feature chandelier. Considering these details early allows the architecture and interior design to work together.
When should I involve an interior designer in a new build project? Ideally, during the planning and design stage, before construction begins. At this point, we can review the internal layout and recommend practical adjustments without fundamentally changing the architectural design. These may be relatively small decisions, such as changing a standard door to a sliding or pocket door, adjusting a radiator position or reconsidering electrical points, but they can have a significant effect on how the finished space works.
Can I see my interior design before construction begins? Yes. We initially present projects through floor plans and mood boards to establish the layout, materials and overall direction. Where required, we also provide realistic 3D renders, animations and Virtual Reality, allowing clients to understand the proposed space before construction or purchasing begins.
What are the benefits of Virtual Reality for interior design? Virtual Reality allows clients to walk through and experience their proposed interior before it is built. Combined with technical drawings and realistic 3D visualisation, VR helps communicate scale, layout, materials, furniture and finishes more clearly. It can also help identify changes earlier, before construction, manufacturing or purchasing decisions are finalised.
Does DXP Living provide bespoke made to measure curtains, blinds and soft furnishings? Yes. Our bespoke curtains and soft furnishings are manufactured in Northern Ireland and can be delivered across Ireland, the UK and Spain. We design and supply made to measure curtains, blinds, voiles, upholstery and cushions, selecting fabrics, trims and finishes to work with the wider interior scheme.
Do I need to replace everything when redesigning my home? No. DXP Living is not a consumption driven design studio. Where possible, we encourage clients to retain, repair or adapt existing kitchens, furniture and architectural features that are still in good condition. New pieces can be introduced where they add value or meet a particular requirement. We can source and supply these for you, or advise you if you prefer to purchase items independently.
What interior design styles does DXP Living work with? DXP Living does not work to one fixed style. Our projects can incorporate contemporary, modern classical, neoclassical, Victorian and coastal influences, depending on the architecture, location and client. Rather than applying a predetermined look, we develop each design around the building and the people who use it.
Does DXP Living work with different project budgets? Yes. We work across different project scopes and budgets. Good interior design does not depend on replacing everything or choosing the most expensive option. We focus on planning, proportion, functionality and making considered decisions about where the budget is best used.
Who founded DXP Living? DXP Living was founded by Pinar Perez, an architecture graduate specialising in interior architecture and design. After studying and working across architecture and interior design in Türkiye and Northern Ireland, she established DxP Living in Northern Ireland.
What is Pinar Perez's academic and professional background? Pinar graduated in Architecture in 2019 and began her professional career working across architecture and interior design in Istanbul and Antalya. She later moved to Northern Ireland to undertake postgraduate study at Queen's University Belfast. After completing her studies, she spent three years working across architectural and interior design practices in Northern Ireland before founding DXP Living. Her previous professional experience also includes work on a residential project shortlisted for the BIID Interior Design Awards 2025, Scotland and Northern Ireland, during her previous employment.
How did Pinar Perez come to establish DXP Living in Northern Ireland? I grew up in Antalya, where my interest in the built environment started at an early age through my father's geomatic engineering practice. His work introduced me to the technical side of how places are planned and developed, which later led me to study Architecture in Istanbul. During and after my architecture degree, I worked in Istanbul and Antalya before moving to Northern Ireland to continue my studies at Queen's University Belfast. After graduating, I spent three years working in architectural and interior design practices in Northern Ireland before establishing DXP Living. Northern Ireland gradually became home. My husband José's PhD and career in science were also part of our decision to settle here, and it is now where we have built both our family life and careers.
What is DXP Living's approach to interior design? Our starting point is understanding how the client needs their home to work. We consider the layout, architecture, existing features and what the client already owns before proposing anything new. We do not believe a successful interior requires replacing everything. Existing furniture and features can be repaired, adapted or incorporated alongside new pieces where appropriate. Clients can choose whether they would like us to source and procure items on their behalf or advise them on what will work within the design.
